Season 1[]

Pierce attends a meeting of Cuban nationals at a Miami barber shop. He is introduced to Miramar Playa Hotel General Manager Victor Lazaro. He offers to aid Victor in getting his wife Maria Lazaro out of Cuba.[1]
Pierce uses his connection to Victor to ask for a meeting with his boss Ike Evans.[2] The plan to extract Maria fails with grave consequences. The intended escapees are shot and killed by Castro loyalists. Pierce meets with Ike to ask him to break the news to Victor.[3]
